Shirley is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Idaho, and a Nationally Certified Counselor.  She attended Eastern Washington University and received her Masters degree in Counseling Psychology.  In addition, she is certified as a bariatric therapist and is a member of the Academy of Eating Disorders.  She has been in private practice for over 20 years in both Spokane and Coeur d’Alene.  She has been a part of the professional team for Surgical Bariatrics Northwest in Post Falls and has been an instructor at local colleges.  

She works with clients to achieve their goals using a multidimensional therapy model to care for their mental, emotional, physical, behavior, and spiritual needs.  She enjoys working with adults, couples and groups.  Shirley has been described as a, "down to earth therapist with a practical approach."  Clients often report that they value the safe space and welcoming environment she creates for them.
